Jones County assault suspect found nude in ditch screaming for help

JONES COUNTY, MS (WDAM) -

An aggravated assault suspect sought by The Jones County Sheriff's Department was found Thursday night in Forrest County beaten, naked, and screaming for help in a ditch. 

According to a news release issued by JCSD, Jerome Justin Boe was found overnight in Forrest County on Peps Point Road when a woman heard her dog barking in the front yard. 

She found Boe naked in a ditch screaming. According to the release, Boe said he was in a vehicle with some people, and was unaware they were going to turn him into authorities.

When the people in the car realized a reward wasn't being offered for Boe, they stripped him of his clothing, beat him, and left him on the side of the road, according to the release. 

Boe was taken to Forrest General Hospital and is now in custody of JCSD. 

Boe will answer to his aggravated assault charge - domestic, and possession of cocaine charge, according to the release. 

The beating incident is under investigation.
