Marion County man walks away from serious accident unscathed

COLLINS, MS (WDAM) -

A Marion County man walked away from a serious accident with just a scratch on his hand, according to Covington County Emergency Management Director Greg Sanford. 

The man was driving an 18-wheeler on Highway 35 in Covington County when a tire blew out, causing the tractor-trailer to leave the road.

The 18-wheeler then became lodged between two oak trees. 

The driver was able to exit the vehicle with just a scratch on his hand. 

Northwest Fire, Long Star Fire, Collins Fire Department, and Covington County Emergency Management Director Greg Sanford all responded to the scene.
