HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

A judge has delayed a trial date of one of the people charged in the shooting deaths of two Hattiesburg police officers.

Cornelius Clark is charged with obstruction of justice and hindering prosecution.

The judge delayed the start of the trial so Clark could have a mental evaluation.

Prosecutors said Clark was with Marvin Banks and Joanie Callaway when officers Benjamin Deen and Liquori Tate were gunned down last May.

A new trial date has yet to be set.
