Christian Services holds local food drive for flood victims

PINE BELT (WDAM) -

A local food drive is helping flood victims get back on their feet.

Starting on Monday, one can donate non-perishable food items to Christian Services at six different locations including Petal Schools, Petal Police, Perry County schools, Perry County Sheriff's Department, Sacred Heart Schools and Christian Services.

The event will continue for two weeks.

All items donate goes to benefit the victims of last month's flooding.

Hundreds of homes were damaged or destroyed.

In Perry County alone, at least 200 homes were affected.

Some places in the Pine Belt saw more than 10 inches of rain.
