The University of Southern Mississippi's 2016 Eagle Jam will be held Saturday, April 9 at the Reed Green Coliseum featuring entertainment by nationally touring headliner Ben Rector. The event is made possible through a partnership with the Southern Miss Activities Council (SMAC) and the Hattiesburg area Habitat for Humanity.

Only cash will be accepted for admission on the day of the event. Doors will open at 6 p.m., with the show starting at 7 p.m.
Eight years after he began touring and two years after his first entry into the Billboard Album Chart's Top 20, Rector is back with a new album. He has sold more than 250,000 albums and has two million downloads. His four studio albums have repeatedly put him on top of the iTunes charts, leading to sold-out shows with fans that sing along with every word in theaters across the country.
"We are so excited to have Ben Rector playing at Eagle Jam. Our goal for the concert this year was to make it bigger and better than ever before, and I definitely think we will achieve that goal with Ben playing," said Erin Baugh, event director for SMAC. "In addition, we are thrilled to be partnering with such a great organization like the Hattiesburg area Habitat for Humanity."
Also on April 9, the Southern Miss Men's Baseball Team will take on Middle Tennessee State University in Conference USA action. Fans who attend the game will be admitted free to Eagle Jam by showing their baseball game ticket.
