Eggs were literally raining from the sky Saturday night.
Temple Baptist Church hosted its first ever "Egg Drop" event. A helicopter flew over the field and dropped thousands of eggs for "egg-cited" children. The kids stormed the field with their Easter baskets and grabbed as many eggs as they could. Senior Pastor Darryl Craft said he was happy to bring the community together during this religious holiday.
“Everything hinges on the reality of the physical bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ," Crafts said. "We believe that Jesus is alive and because of that, it makes everything new."
The church will host Easter service at 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m Sunday.
