HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

One person was sent to a local hospital Wednesday afternoon after an 18-wheeler bumped into an SUV, causing it to flip.

The 18-wheeler was changing lanes when the rear of the trailer nudged the SUV. The SUV was forced to leave the road and flipped over into the median.

The accident occurred just south of the Highway 98 and 49 interchange in Hattiesburg.

The driver of the SUV was taken to a local hospital by a private vehicle, but her injuries appeared to be non-life threatening.

The driver of the 18-wheeler had no injuries or damage to his vehicle.
