HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Southern Miss baseball opens up Conference USA play on the road against Marshall at Appalachian Power Park in Charleston, W.Va. for a three-game series. The two teams will play a doubleheader scheduled for Friday beginning at 1:30 p.m. (CT), while the third game date and time are to be determined.

The Golden Eagles enter the weekend with a 14-4 record having won three of their last four contests, including a 9-2 victory over Alabama at home Tuesday.

The Golden Eagles boast a 27-9 overall lead in the Marshall series, which dates back to the 2005 campaign. Southern Miss has won the last five series over the Thundering Herd and are 9-6 all-time in games played in Charleston.

Following the weekend set, the Golden Eagles end a four-game string away from Pete Taylor Park with a Tuesday, March 22, date with Tulane at MGM Park in Biloxi, Miss. Game time is 7:05 p.m., for that contest.
