JONES COUNTY, MS (WDAM) -

A woman was sent to the hospital Tuesday night after a rollover accident on Hwy 15 in Landrum’s Country.

According to Jones County fire official Lance Chancellor, the driver of Kia Rio left the roadway, hit a culvert and the car flipped at least two times.

Before the arrival of the Jones County Sheriff’s Department and Mississippi Highway Patrol, a passerby who witnessed the wreck stopped and helped extricate the injured driver from the vehicle.

The woman was transported to South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel with non-life threatening injuries, according to Chancellor.
