HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

Texas State Senator Ted Cruz's campaign for the White House at JCJC has been cancelled for Monday.

"The event at JCJC has been cancelled. Ted Cruz will not be in Mississippi tomorrow, as he evidently does not feel well. This is difficult news to deliver, but we trust that God has a plan for the campaign and for Mississippi." Mississippi State Senator Chris McDaniel shared in a Facebook post.

The Mississippi primary elections will fall on Tuesday, March 8.
