United Blood Services holds St. Patrick's Day special

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

This is a news release from United Blood Services.

United Blood Services is asking you to be somebody's lucky charm by donating blood.

Any who donate blood through March 17 will receive a  green, St. Patrick's Day themed blood donor T-shirt.

Blood donations will go to patients in over 58 Mississippi and West Alabama hospitals.

Donations are needed from all blood types. Donors with O negative type blood should inquire about donating double red cells.  Donors with AB type blood should inquire about donating plasma.

The Hattiesburg donor center is located at 805 S. 28th Ave. Hours are Monday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., closed on Thursday, Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

    A trailer home in Sandersville community caught fire on Sunday afternoon and is being considered a total loss.
