This week, your pizza order could make a difference

Beginning on March 8, Papa John's Pizza locations in Hattiesburg and Laurel will donate 20 percent of its sales to the Mississippi Highway Patrol.

Those proceeds will help with the medical bills of the three Highway Patrol officers that were injured on Feb. 20.

In addition to the 20 percent of sales the pizza chain will be selling $10 T-shirts for the event and $6 of those proceeds go toward the same fund.

"It shows that we care about them, because they're out there protecting our drivers, they're checking on our stores when we're not here and there's an epidemic on police officers being shot and stuff and not a lot of people showing support so this is, as a brand, we're showing that we care about our law enforcement,"  said Jourdan Hartshorn, marketing director of Papa John’s of South Mississippi.
