HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - Hundreds of runners made their way across the University of Southern Mississippi campus Saturday morning to raise money for a facility that helps young
About 300 people participated in the 2nd annual Children's Center Classic 10K and 5K run.
It raised funds for the Southern Miss Children's Center, which provides developmental and communicative therapies for youngsters up to five years of age.
"All of the funds raised go to provide those services to over a hundred children enrolled in our program," said Sarah Case-Price, director of the Children's Center. "The community support is absolutely amazing. To see the list of sponsors who want to get their name out on this event, it means a lot."
Case-Price said they exceeded their fundraising goal of $25,000.
