PINE BELT (WDAM) -

A Laurel/Hattiesburg area non-profit agency, Pine Belt Association for Families, has been in desperate need of a commercial freezer to store food.

Bok Homa Casino will be providing that needed freezer.

Pearl River Resort received a donation request from the Pine Belt Association for Families.

The organization was seeking several monetary donations to purchase a freezer.

Bok Homa Casino will purchase and donate the entire $3,000 freezer to the group so they are able to more quickly and have access to the needed appliance that allows them to assist their community members.

As a freshman quarterback playing behind one of the best athletes to come through Columbia Academy in recent years, Thomas Erastus “Ras” Pace got his first career start in what was arguably the Cougars’ biggest game of the 2016 season. “I thought I did a pretty good job handing the ball off,” said Pace of his starting debut in a second-round MAIS AAA playoff game in place of the inured Wiley Cleland.
