JONES COUNTY, MS (WDAM) -

On Wednesday Jones County Deputies and investigators answered two separate calls regarding burglaries that occurred at residences on Highway 11 North and Sandersville-Heidelberg Road.

One of the homeowners was Barry Saul, Jones County Supervisor of Beat 3.

Neither home was occupied at the time of the break-ins, and in both instances outside doors had been forcibly opened to allow the suspect(s) entry into the homes.

Among the items stolen from Saul’s home were a television, and jewelry.

The other victim was missing a video gaming system, and money.

Investigators are diligently working the cases and exploring the possibility that they may be connected.

Similar burglaries in Jasper County are also being considered a part of this investigation.

If you have any information concerning any of these burglaries, please contact the Jones County Sheriff’s Department at 601-425-3147.
