WAYNESBORO, MS (WDAM) - Maghan Deese always dreamed of being reunited with the horse she used to ride as a young girl.
She competed in several competitions with her horse "Greased Lightning" and won the world championship title for speed racking in 2009 while wearing her infamous pink jacket.
A year later, Deese's father sold her horse when she went off to college to study Equine Therapy.
Deese never thought she would see "Greased Lightning" again but she caught the interest of Barbara Metcalf when she started working at Sigler Hill Stables.
"She would always say things like: I hope he's alright, I hope he's okay, I'm worried that something happened to him. So I thought I'm going to find this horse," said Metcalf.
Metcalf found the horse in Tennessee and bought him for Deese. When Deese saw her horse for the first time in 7 years she was shocked.
"I can't believe it, I sure never thought I would see him again," said Deese.
