PERRY COUNTY, MS (WDAM) -

Two men are behind bars in connection to a Perry County shooting that injured one person last weekend.

Anthony Deshawn Walley, 28, is charged with aggravated assault in the shooting that happened shortly before midnight Feb. 5.  His bond was set at $100,000.

Adarryl O’ James Johnson, 21, is charged with accessory before the fact of aggravated assault. His bond was set at $50,000.

According to Sheriff Mitch Nobles, the shooting happened in the Little Creek area of Perry County, off Rosie Snell Road just before midnight Friday.

"We got a 911 call of a shooting and deputies responded to the scene," Nobles said. "When deputies got on scene, they were told the male shooting victim was taken to Forrest General in a personal vehicle."

Nobles added that investigators recovered multiple shell casings from the scene.

"It happened behind the residence on Rosie Snell Road, towards the wood line behind a bonfire that was going on," Nobles said. "This was an isolated incident that stemmed from people that did know one another."

According to Nobles, the male victim is in ICU, but is listed in stable condition.
