HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - Each year, both Zeta Phi Beta sorority and Phi Beta Sigma fraternity at The University of Southern Mississippi hold a sleep out on Hattiesburg's campus to bring awareness to homelessness.
The groups will also give the public a chance to donate items to help someone in need.
"We'll be on campus the whole week and part of next week," said Anthony Sims, member of Phi Beta Sigma. "Prior to the event we'll be on campus tabling in the union to get different toiletries and backpacks even gently worn clothing all that good stuff to take to the homeless shelters her in Hattiesburg and those dates are January 31 through February 6."
The sleep out will take place on Weathersby Lawn Feb. 3.
