JCJC’s Bibbins named MACJC Player of the Week

ELLISVILLE – Jones County Junior College's Wendion Bibbins has been named the MACJC Women's Player of the Week.

Bibbins, a 6-foot-1 sophomore forward from Helen Cox High School in New Orleans, Louisiana, had a pair of "double-doubles" last week.

In a 90-67 victory over previously undefeated and 17th-ranked Copiah-Lincoln, Bibbins had 22 points, 13 rebounds and three assists. She was 8-of-11 from the floor.

In JCJC's 68-38 win over Pearl River, Bibbins had 17 points, 13 rebounds, four blocked shots and two steals. She was 7-of-11 from the floor.

Bibbins has already signed with Indiana State University.

Bibbins and the Lady Bobcats are currently 12-2 overall and lead the MACJC South Division with a 5-0 record.

JCJC hosts Southwest Mississippi at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday at A.B. Howard Gymnasium. The game will air on www.jcjc.tv.
