Teachers in Petal are back at work from the Christmas holiday and on Monday, they were the ones learning new things.
The Petal School District held a training session Monday that was the Ed-Tech Team Summit.
It focused on Google applications and tools to promote student learning in kindergarteners to college.
“It's important because our students are grow up using technology,” Petal Superintendent Matt Dillon. “It's just another way to enhance what's already going on in the classroom. This is not a way to replace the things that are going on but another avenue or tool our teachers can use in the classroom to further instruction.”
The training is held across the country, but this is the first to be held in Mississippi.
