USM football team gives back to Dallas community

DALLAS, TX - The Southern Miss Golden Eagles took time from their busy practice schedule in Dallas to visit Our Children's House.

Our Children's House is a specialist center that evaluates and treats patients in a comfortable environment designed especially for children.
Several USM cheerleaders and football players got the chance to interact and play with the children.

"This is so special, anytime we get a chance to give back as a team to
the community, it's a wonderful thing," said USM tight-end Julian Allen.

Seymour also took part in the fun.

Running back Tez Parks said his favorite part of the event was watching some of the kids "beat up" Seymour.

"It was so funny to watch the little kids play with Seymour and throw toys at him," Parks said.

The Southern Miss cheerleaders performed several cheers for the children, and even led the kids in yelling "Southern Miss To The Top."

"We came here to give back, but really they gave back to us," said cheerleader McKenzie Baker.
