HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

Members of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force have taken another suspect wanted in a Hattiesburg drive-by shooting into custody.

Janvier Fairman was wanted in connection to the Dec. 15 shooting in the Hub City.

Fairman was arrested at the 1700 block of Highway 84 in Collins around 3 p.m. Thursday.

The Hattiesburg Police Department is also searching for one more suspect involved in a drive by shooting at Plantation Apartments earlier in December.

Corey Ratcliff is still wanted in connection to the crime that happened Dec. 15.

Colby Jones was arrested Dec. 22 without incident shortly after police announced they were searching for him.

Jones is being transported to the Forrest County Jail for booking.

Two were arrested and charged last week in connection to the crime.

Tyland Walker, 19, and Altorioun Betts, 24, both of Hattiesburg, were arrested Dec. 15.

Around 2:45 p.m., officers responded to a report of shots fired from a gray Chevy Tahoe at a subject.

“The vehicle was located later around the intersection of Dixie and Quinn Street, and several people were taken into custody,” Hattiesburg Police Lt. Jon Traxler said. “One person from that location was charged in the crime.”

Both Walker and Betts were charged with drive-by shooting and criminal street gang activity, and are both currently housed in the Forrest County Jail.

Traxler added that a weapon was not recovered, and that no one was injured during the shooting.

Anyone with information on the suspects can call Hattiesburg police at 601.545.4971.
