Jim Reeves is a personal injury attorney who is recognized as one of Mississippi’s leading advocates for injured people. Though known for his high dollar cases (Jim has been counsel in more than 100 separate cases with a recovery of $1,000,000 or more), he takes cases across a wide area of personal injury concerns including tractor-trailer accidents, car wrecks, nursing home injury and neglect, slip and fall and Jones Act violations.

Jim is also known for his class action work including 1600 BP Oil cases and roughly 400 Chinese Dry Wall cases. His reputation has earned appointments from federal judges across the country to handle complex national and international litigation.

Over the years, he has gained a reputation as a tough courtroom fighter.  Not afraid of taking on large corporations and their team of attorneys, he has fought against such companies as Ford Motor Company, Bridgestone/Firestone, and Lloyds of London Insurance Companies.  He especially enjoys handling cases for working families, veterans and children.

Jim graduated cum laude from Tulane University Law School in 1992. He obtained his undergraduate degree with honors from the University of South Alabama in 1989.

Jim was elected to the Board of Governors of the Mississippi Association for Justice in 2002 and serves in the Leaders Forum.  He is also a member in the Harrison County, Alabama and Mississippi Bar Associations.

Nicknamed “The Bulldog,” Jim has actually run with the bulls in Pamplona, Spain.

Matthew Mestayer has been a judge for more than a decade. He is also a personal injury attorney with a unique understanding of the law and how it can help his clients. He has been recognized as a top trial lawyer and it has been said that insurance companies know he is not afraid of the courtroom.

Matthew now exclusively represents injured victims and their families.  One of his major skills is uncovering the evidence needed to prove fault of the wrong doer.  Matthew is especially proud of a 1.5 million dollar verdict he received for an injured veteran.

As a sitting City Judge in Ocean Springs, Matthew hears a variety of cases which he feels gives him a better understanding of how the law can help people in trouble. Among his many honors as judge, Matthew has been especially singled out for his work with children and victims of domestic abuse.  He is a past recipient of the Gulf Coast Judicial Award.

Matthew graduated from the University of Mississippi Law School in 1993. His undergraduate degree in International Business was from Springhill College in 1990.

He is an active member of the Harrison County Bar, Mississippi Bar, American Bar, and Harrison County Young Lawyers Association.  He serves on a number of local boards including the YMCA and is a leader in his church. He is also a dedicated athlete competing in triathlons across the Southeast.

Matthew is married and the father of four children.
