Pine Grove Behavioral Health & Addiction Services recently announced Fran McManus as the 2015 Employee of the Year.
McManus, patient care manager for Adult Psychiatric Services, has worked for Pine Grove for 34 years and was nominated by her peers as an outstanding employee. The award was presented at Pine Grove's annual employee holiday luncheon on Dec. 10. During the announcement, Debbie Sanford, Forrest General Hospital's Chief Behavioral Health & Addiction Services Officer, read nominations submitted for McManus. "Since working with Fran over the years, the staff has found her to be dedicated to her patients. She respects them and treats them as she would her family. Our patients know her by her first name and they look for Fran when she is not here. Fran makes sure the patients have everything they need and goes above and beyond." Upon receiving the award, McManus stated, "There is nowhere else I'd rather work."
Each quarter, Pine Grove's Employee Recognition Committee selects a deserving colleague to be honored for their work based on employee nominations that are submitted from throughout Pine Grove. The Employee of the Year is selected from these individuals. McManus was one of over 40 nominations.
