The Salvation Army of Hattiesburg off of U.S 49 was broken into Thursday night.
According to Lt. Stacy Connelly, several kettles were stolen, but it is unknown at this time how much money was taken.
Connelly said that the suspects broke into the building through the nursery. She also said that there was broken glass in one of the offices.
This theft comes days after the charity announced that they were thousands of dollars short of their holiday goal.
This is a developing story. We will continue to provide updates as information becomes available.
