Southern Miss offensive coordinator Chip Lindsey has been successful at Southern Miss, and that has landed him a job in the same roll at Arizona State. Lindsey will take over as the offensive coordinator for the Sun Devils.
Thayer Evans of Sports Illustrated first reported the news Thursday.
The Golden Eagle offense has thrived in 2015, the first year Lindsey took over play calling duties from head coach Todd Monken. Southern Miss has scored over 40 points and averaged nearly 520 yards of offense per game in 2015.
Sports Illustrated also reports that Southern Miss wide receivers coach and special teams coordinator John Wozniak has been named as the Golden Eagles' offensive coordinator after Lindsey's departure.
