HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - A judge has ordered that Club Memories in Hattiesburg be shut down.

The temporary restraining order was done this morning by Judge Johnny Williams in Forrest County Chancery Court.

The Forrest County District Attorney Patricia Burchell served the court-ordered restraining order to the owner of Club Memories.

According to a press release from Burchell, she consulted with Mayor Johnny DuPree and HPD Chief Anthony Parker beforehand.

According to the press release, She then "filed a petition requesting the issuance of the temporary restraining order due to the repeated dangerous and violent activities occurring on the premises of Club Memories, including two murders within the last six months."

The club's hearing will be set for Dec. 17.

This comes days after the second homicide was reported at the club this year.
