MOSELLE, MS (WDAM) -
Nick Lilja was cleaning out the First Alert Weather Center when he stumbled across a folder of letters dating back to the 80s.
One letter in particular resonated with him.
"Greetings Channel 7, I am submitting a slide for your weather report. It is a slide of The Golden Temple in Punjab State, India. My husband and I spent much time in India as freelance missionaries. We were living in Punjab when the Golden Temple was fired into. Heavy curfews resulted, and our walk was curtailed. All foreigners were urged to leave the area, so we returned to the state in June. Our home is in Moselle, only three miles from WDAM. I do enjoy your weather slide program. Hope you can use this one. A grateful viewer, Molly Fairchild."
Through the power of social media, Nick Lilja was able to contact Fairchild to hear the rest of this amazing story.
