Jones County man wanted for stealing checks

JONES COUNTY, MS (WDAM) -

This is a news release from the Jones County Sheriff's Department. 

Jones County Sheriff’s Investigators are asking for the public’s assistance in finding a man who is wanted for stealing checks and cashing them throughout Jones County.

Ashel Willis Brumfield, III, 27, has a warrant out for his arrest.  His last known address is in Soso.  The checks he stole and cashed total almost $5,000.

    Joshua Marshall was eight years old when he first attended Akeem Davis’ “AD 47 Football Leadership Academy” in 2015. He hasn’t missed a camp since and on Saturday graduated from the camp as a 12-year-old. "I learned about character,” Marshall said.
