The Laurel Police Department arrested a man for rape at a local hotel, according to an LPD press release.
On Sunday around 7 p.m., LPD officer Jamie Moulds arrested Douglas Haynes, 28, and Anthony Jones, Jr., 27, at the Townhouse Hotel located at 240 Leontyne Price Blvd.
Both were taken into custody. Haynes faces one count of rape in connection with an incident that occurred on Nov. 12.
After a handgun was found during the arrest, Haynes was also charged with one count of a convicted felon in possession of a firearm.
Jones faces one count of a convicted felon in possession of a firearm.
Both men had their initial appearances in Laurel Municipal Court Monday, according to an LPD press release.
Haynes' bond was set at $55,000 total with $50,000 for one count of rape and $5,000 for one count of a convicted felon in possession of a firearm.
Jones' bond was set at $5,000.
Investigator Brandon Evans and officer Layne Bounds are handling the cases.
