HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

What are you thankful for this Thanksgiving? We asked some Pine Belt residents to share their thoughts on the holiday.

"I'm thankful for peace and just my health, honestly, spending time with my kids and my family, just being able to be here is just a blessing to me," said Shundrix Hinton, owner of Elegant Creations Boutique in Hattiesburg.

"(I'm thankful for) life, health, strength, to live in a country such as America, to be able to go to church and worship God in peace," said Lettie Burger, a volunteer who helped feed the needy at Christian Services, Inc. on Tuesday.

"(I'm thankful for) just family, friends, people that show love and give support," said Chelsea Thames, another volunteer at Christian Services.

"I'm thankful, first of all, to be an American and I'm thankful for Jesus Christ," said Rodney Jordan, of Hattiesburg. "If it wasn't for him, we wouldn't be here today."
