HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - The Hattiesburg Police Department is teaming up with Ryan Chevrolet for the second annual Heart of Hope Toy Drive.

New unwrapped toys can be dropped off at the West Pine Street location during regular business hours.

The toys will be placed in a truck they are hoping to fill for the local kids in the Hub City.

Some of these people are children who have been affected by crimes of violence, from everything to homicides to domestics, things of that nature as well as children that are part of a children's shelter here in Hattiesburg," Hattiesburg Police Lt. Jon Traxler said. "So we just want to ask the public, we are in the time of giving right now, so we just ask that they give a little extra and donate to the kids."

They will be taking donations until Dec. 14.
