HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

Firefighters battled a fully involved blaze in Oak Grove Tuesday.

Around 12:30 p.m., the John Hall dentistry office, which belongs to doctor John Hall, caught fire.

Lamar County Volunteer Firefighters and the Hattiesburg Fire Department were on the scene.

"It was really a good save today if you look at the building, there is not any major damage to the building, the building is going to be able to be saved, that is because our station is under a mile from this location in our response area," said Kyle Hill, fire chief.  "We had two daytime guys at the station today. I was at the station myself, when the call came out, literally at Oak Grove and Weathersby Road, and was able to turn around and get down here within 3 minutes of the call."

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time and the investigation is ongoing.

No injuries have been reported.
