Make-A-Wish Mississippi grants wish for Hattiesburg child

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

It was a magical day for Justice Moncrief. The 10-year-old is battling a life-threatening seizure disorder, but today was not about fighting.

It was about celebrating. Justice and his family attended a send-off party at Chuck E. Cheese in Hattiesburg to celebrate Justice's wish for a trip to his favorite Orlando theme park being granted by Kretschmar Premium Meet & Cheese and the Make-A-Wish foundation. Organization volunteers said they are happy to fulfill Justice's wish.

"It's our desire to give them that wish and to bring joy and again strength and happiness to children with life-threatening illnesses, and so this is a happy day for us and a chance for the family to just get away from things and to celebrate being together and being a family," said Janet Blouin, Make-A-Wish volunteer.

"I think it's going to be a great opportunity to get away because we're always just together trying to make sure that Justice is okay and just to get away and just to feel free and not the same thing every day, it's going to be just awesome," said Bridgette Lang, Justice's mother.
