HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - The Make-A-Wish Foundation in Mississippi has teamed up with a local grocer to help make a child's wish come true.
Justice, a 10-year-old from Hattiesburg, has a life-threatening seizure disorder, according to a news release. He loves Sesame Street, LEGO bricks and the color orange. He is a very loving child and enjoys being held and interacting with people. His wish is to visit his favorite Florida theme park with his family in December.
Owned by the Roberts Company Inc., the Sunflower and Corner Market stores will have stars that can be purchased at the cash register at all of their locations to make this child's wish come true.
Customers can purchase a blue star for $1 or a silver star for $5.
Proceeds will go to a child from the area and donations will be taken until early December.
"The Roberts Company is all about family," said Mike Sowden in a news release, the chief operating officer of Roberts Company Inc. "Not only our personal families but the extended family that makes or company special. We consider it an honor to be a small part of helping a family through a very difficult time.
