Former Braves and Mississippi Braves player passes away

MISSISSIPPI (WDAM) - A former Braves pitcher and Mississippi Braves baseball player died Monday night in Atlanta.

Tommy Hanson fell into a coma and passed away at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta.

Hanson was 29-years-old.

Hanson played for the Mississippi Braves on the 2008 SL championship team. He was known for being the only no-hitter in Mississippi Braves history.

Hanson pitched for the Braves for four seasons and then played for the Los Angeles Angels in 2013.
