Quitman man arrested for drugs at routine traffic stop

WAYNESBORO, MS (WDAM) -

Wayne County authorities arrested a man at a routine traffic stop Wednesday night. 

Investigators arrested Dejaun Ealie of Quitman and uncovered drugs and a large amount of cash.  

The investigators said they found more than 100 grams of spice, 15 grams of marijuana and a small amount of crack cocaine along with a felony amount of Lortabs.

A judge said Ealie's bond is set at $400,000.

    The City of Hattiesburg is urging motorists to use caution Thursday morning in various areas of the city due to utility work. Pearl River Valley Electric began work on switching out a transformer at 6 a.m.  So, traffic lights at US 98 and Hwy 11, US 98 and Lake Forgetful and US 98 and Cross Creek Parkway are expected to experience some downtime .  The Hattiesburg Police Department will be directing traffic in those areas to offer support in the event downtime does occur.&n...More >>
