RICHTON, MS (WDAM) -

A photo of a Richton football player praying for his injured team mate has gone viral.

The photo was posted by Cathy Smith Green to Facebook with the following message:

Richton High School is a small school in MS. Total K-12, we have perhaps 450 students, and everyone knows everyone...well. I snapped this picture of Daylen Jones, not just "taking a knee" for his injured teammate, but praying. In this time where organized prayer is challenged in courts, and schools in fear of lawsuits, cower against atheist demands, it is comforting to know, these kids, who have been brought up right, don't have to be "lead" in prayer.

The photo has been shared on social media over 5,000 times.

Jones is a Sophomore at Richton High School. Jones is a running back for the Richton High School team.

According to Green, the injured player collapsed on the field during the game. Green says the player is okay and there were no long term injuries.

Demolition, which cost approximately $334,000, is almost finished, allowing the roads to reopen once the area is cleared.  Portions of 5th Avenue by the church are set to be open sometime next week.  This is a developing story.
