Forrest Health starts new website for women

(The following is a press release from Forrest General Hospital.)

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – (October 8, 2015) Forrest Health has launched a new Health & Wellness website, http://forresthealth.spirithealth.com. The website features tips for women on how to stay healthy throughout the decades of their lives and offers fresh, fun, timely health information to help them keep themselves and their families well. Created in conjunction with Spirit of Women®, the new website was developed with the community in mind and is easily accessible on smartphones and tablets.

Spirit of Women Coordinator, Kathy Emmons said, "The goal of the Spirit of Women program is to help women stay informed about their health and to make it easy for women to find that information. We're excited about this website because it gives women a way to get everything they need in one place. They can scroll through articles, find a doctor, or get updates on health screenings while they're standing in line at the grocery store, waiting at soccer practice, or wherever their lives take them."

The new Health & Wellness website provides the following features:

•    Online health assessments for patients to complete and discuss with their provider at their next appointment
•    Wellness tips for teens
•    Recommended screenings for men
•    Advice on staying healthy throughout the decades of a woman's life
•    Informative health articles

To proactively manage their health, women can visit the website and become familiar with various health screening guidelines. There is also a section for teens and men to help them keep up with their checkups. The new Health & Wellness website also includes fun articles and recipes, which will be updated regularly. Visit http://forresthealth.spirithealth.com to find out more.
