HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - Several homes across the Pine Belt are damaged after Saturday night's storm.
The Mississippi Emergency Management Agency reported ten homes damaged in Marion County.
Stephen Wilkinson from the National Weather Service in Jackson said trees were down in both Lamar and Forrest County.
A few homes off of Evans Drive in Hattiesburg were hit by trees.
Several trees landed on one home in the neighborhood at 5 Evans Drive.
Neighbors and family members of the home owners helped to remove pieces of the fallen trees that were blocking the front door.
"We are lucky that it just didn't come down and wipe out everything," neighbor Walter Smith said.
"So you know God is still in this blessing business."
Wilkinson said the National Weather Service will send workers down Monday to survey damaged areas.
