ELLISVILLE, MS (WDAM) - Dozens of Pine Belt residents wanting an early Halloween experience went to Ellisville Saturday night, to tour a historic home that's legendary for paranormal activity.
They visited the Amos Deason Home next to South Jones High School.
Members of the Daughters of the American Revolution conducted a tour of the 170-year-old house. They spoke about its history and its alleged hauntings.
Several Civil War re-enactors were also encamped on the grounds.
The annual event raises funds to help preserve and restore the house, which is the oldest in Jones County.
