ELLISVILLE, MS (WDAM) - A retired University of Southern Mississippi professor and his family have established a new endowment to benefit USM's Center for Community and Civic Engagement.
Dr. Richard Conville and his wife, Mozella, have set up a $100,000 fund through the USM Foundation.
University officials and faculty gathered Friday afternoon to announce the endowment and thank the Conville family for their gift.
Conville retired recently after 35 years on the faculty.
He also led the school's efforts to foster student engagement and civic values for 15 years.
