HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - More than 500 people were in attendance at an ADHD conference in west Hattiesburg Thursday.
The conference has been put on by Connections Hattiesburg Clinic for 12 years now.
The keynote speaker of the event was internationally known Russell Barkley.
Parents, teachers, psychologists and many other service providers of the field of ADHD were there.
The conference gives attendees a chance to learn new information as well as re-learning existing information about ADHD.
"ADHD is one of the most treated disorders we have in mental health," said Dr. Ronald Kent with Connections Hattiesburg Clinic. "And my goodness, what we need to do is to make treatment available to these people who can go on to live a fulfilled life."
The conference will wrap up Friday afternoon.
