Tupelo woman charged with capital murder appears in court

TUPELO, MS - A Tupelo woman appeared in court today after being charged with capital murder in May 2015.

Leah Bishop appeared in a Lee County courtroom Friday.

She's charged with capital murder in the death of 65-year-old Jessie Traylor.

Tupelo police found Traylor's body in his home last May after Bishop left a 22 page note at the Veterans Memorial Museum in Laurel reportedly confessing to the murder.

According to WTVA News, Bishop is being held without bond and pleaded not guilty.
