This is a news release from Forrest General Hospital
Welcoming a new baby into your home and heart can be a bit overwhelming, especially for younger members of the family. For kids who may need a little help adjusting to their new sibling, Forrest General hosts a class designed specifically to help prepare for the arrival of their new family member.
The Sibling Class, which is part of Forrest General's group of Family Birthplace classes, helps kids ages four to eight learn about their role as big brothers or sisters and what to expect when the new baby arrives. The class is held four times per year on Thursday evenings from 6 – 7 p.m. at Forrest General and includes a tour of The Family Birthplace. The next session of this class takes place on Thursday, October 29.
Family Birthplace classes are available for parents, grandparents or anyone involved in the exciting experience of welcoming a new baby. Classes are held in Forrest General's Maple Room, located near the cafeteria in the hospital. All classes are free if delivering at Forrest General.
