HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - The Hattiesburg Public School District foundation is taking applications for the new tiger tag.
A good portion of the money goes back to the school's foundation
The foundation needs at least 300 applicants to get the special license plate made and it already has 150 people signed up. Once the tags have been ordered, the applicants will receive instructions through the mail on how to pick up their tag.
"The car tag is a great way to support our kids and their teachers," HPSD Foundation Director Dan Kibodeaux said. "For only $31 anyone can help out the Hattiesburg school kids through scholarships and help their teachers through classroom grants, with things that the school district really cannot do."

The deadline is Oct. 5, and the tag costs $31.
