PRCC to use federal grant to build new pedestrian area on Hattiesburg campus

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - Pearl River Community College will use a new federal gr ant to construct a pedestrian commons area on its Forrest County campus.

Friday morning, Southern District Transportation Commissioner Tom King presented the school with a check for $304,200 for the project.

Those funds, from the Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) will pay for 80 percent of the construction.

PRCC will pay for the remaining 20 percent, or $76,050.
