Taylor Halsey was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas and graduated from the Manship School of Mass Communication at Louisiana State University. She studied Broadcast Journalism with a minor in Sports Administration.  In her freshman year at LSU Taylor began her career as the Sports Anchor for Tiger TV, where she developed her skills for four years.

In high school Taylor was a multi sport athlete, but her passion was playing Volleyball. She believes that Sports provide more than just a fun and competitive environment. They teach discipline, dedication and work ethic. "Football is like life – it requires perseverance, self-denial, hard work, sacrifice, dedication and respect for authority." – Vince Lombardi.

Throughout College Taylor interned with WAFB and Fox Sports as a sports reporter. After graduation she worked as a free lance sideline reporter for Cox Sports Television. There she covered the New Orleans Zephyrs and Southern Jaguars football program. Nearly two years later Taylor joined the WDAM 7 team where she works as the Weekend Sports Anchor/Reporter.

When Taylor is not working, she enjoys playing beach volleyball, any water sport, and spending time with friends and family.
