HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - In part of Southern Miss SGA's Civility Week Sept. 14-18, more than 20 student organizations gathered on the Hattiesburg's campus for Student Appreciation Day.

Student organizations set up booths near the center of campus to provide information to their fellow students.

It is part of the university's new campaign, "Speak Up Southern Miss."

It gives students an opportunity to tell the SGA how to make things better on campus.
"If you see an issue that you want SGA to implement or pickup and take on we are here for that," said Terondrick Walker, an SGA member. "Things that they would like to see changed about Southern Miss and kind of reach out to them and let them know that 'Hey SGA is here and
we're here for your needs.'"

There was also a booth there for students to sign up to register to vote.
