Hinds Community College defeats PRCC

POPLARVILLE, MS (WDAM) -

POPLARVILLE - The Wildcats fall in home opener 35-7 against the unbeaten Eagles from Hinds Community College.

PRCC started the game four and out, and Hinds quickly took control on a 3 play, 64 yard drive , scoring on 29 yard pass from TR Page to DeJarvis Chambers.

With a little less than six minutes left in the first quarter the Eagles score again on a 48 yard pass from Jaquez Parks to tight end Bryant McDuffie making it 14-0.

It was a rough first half for the Wildcats picking up only 36 yards and just three first downs.

Quarterback Mac Lowrie returned from Halftime looking a little worse for the wear, and seemed to be limping a bit. Lowrie was 7-16-1 for 78 yards in the first half.

In a last ditch effort the Wildcats get on the board with an eight yard run by Matt Williams. Final score 35 – 7.
